The
Context
Meraki is a premium home décor brand known for handcrafted pieces that blend minimalism, warmth, and timeless design. The objective of this project was to establish the brand’s first digital presence through a refined ecommerce experience that reflects its artisanal identity.
The challenge was introducing a new brand to the digital space while maintaining a premium aesthetic. With no existing online footprint, the website needed to communicate craftsmanship, material quality, and brand philosophy while still enabling intuitive product discovery and seamless shopping.
The approach focused on creating a calm, editorial-style ecommerce experience where products take center stage. Clean layouts, generous spacing, and minimal visual noise were used to emphasize craftsmanship and detail. Product discovery was structured through clear category navigation and curated subcategories such as Contemporary, Rustic, and Traditional styles, helping users explore collections based on their interior preferences.
Supporting sections such as testimonials and project installations were incorporated to build trust and showcase how Meraki products transform real living spaces. High-resolution imagery and material descriptions on product pages further reinforced the brand’s premium positioning.
My
Role
I was responsible for the full UX and visual design of the ecommerce experience. This included structuring the information architecture, designing the homepage narrative, organizing product discovery flows, and creating detailed product pages that clearly communicate materials, dimensions, and styling context.
Special attention was given to balancing editorial storytelling with ecommerce clarity, ensuring users could appreciate the brand’s craftsmanship while still navigating efficiently toward purchase decisions.
